The Pisces Full Moon Lunar Eclipse August 27/28—depending on where in the world you are—brings a powerful culmination of emotional energy, along with heightened psychic sensitivity and a final flood of Pisces energy before closing out a significant chapter.

And there's been a lotta Pisces lately.

For roughly a year and a half, the North Node has traveled through Pisces, pulling you deeper into the invisible realms of intuition, imagination, spirituality, creativity, emotion, compassion, confusion and surrender.

But the Pisces story goes even deeper than that.

Saturn recently completed its roughly 2½-year journey through Pisces, while Neptune—Pisces' modern ruler—finally moved into Aries earlier this year after the extended stay of nearly 14 years moving through its home sign Pisces.

That's a whole lotta water under the bridge.

And now, only weeks after the Lunar Nodes shifted into Aquarius and Leo, we have one last Pisces eclipse.

This Full Moon feels like a culmination, like a final wave washing through and shedding light on something that has been lingering below the surface, bringing it fully into your awareness.

Full Moons are emotional by nature—now add that Pisces runs deep and this is a lunar eclipse which is a Full Moon with the volume cranked way up.

Eclipses are known to have a wild-card energy and an unpredictable nature. They accelerate timelines, reveal what's been hidden, often bringing sudden endings and new beginnings that can unexpectedly shift the course of events.

The veil between the physical and energetic worlds feels a bit thin at the moment and your intuitive antennae could be picking up signals from realms beyond this one.

Your emotional and psychic sensitivity is cranked up to eleven during this phase. Tune in. 

You might be feeling super sensitive as intuitive impressions, feelings, memories, or dreams rise to the surface now. Perhaps there's something or someone resurfacing that had been long forgotten or maybe there's something that you had a vague sense about that you couldn't name or explain that you now get clarity on.

⚡ The Awakening Catalyst

And that clarity could arrive in a flash.

Uranus in Gemini zaps the Virgo Sun and Pisces Moon, acting as a catalyst for awakening, movement and change.

Uranus can throw a monkey wrench and disrupt business as usual, but sometimes the disruption is the breakthrough.

This could show up as surprising news, new information, a stimulating conversation, intuitive download, an unexpected message, visitor or invitation. Perhaps there's a sudden change of circumstances, new plans, an innovative idea, an exciting discovery or revelation that changes what you thought you knew.

It only takes one new slice of information and the entire picture changes. 

A missing piece lands on the table and suddenly something you've been sensing, questioning or trying to understand clicks into place.

Ohhhhh. Now I see it.

Uranus - aka - the great awakener can disrupt established patterns, break through limitations and introduce something revolutionary that forces you to see a situation through a different lens.

And in Gemini, that awakening can come through communication, media, technology, conversations and the exchange of ideas and information.

We're dealing with mutable energy here, so whatever is revealed is likely to get things moving quickly. 

There could be a few “I didn’t see that coming” moments. 

Mutable energy adapts and rearranges. It shifts and responds to new conditions – sometimes in real time. So the situation is fluid. 

Your new awareness requires you to change your mind, reconsider decisions, alter your plans or make adjustments you didn't expect to make.

It's as if life drops something directly in your path and you just can't ignore it, unsee it or unknow it and you’re forced to accommodate and acclimate accordingly. 

🧩 How the Pieces Fit

Just a few days before the eclipse, Mercury enters Virgo on August 25, sharpening your focus and discernment while also helping to clear some of the clutter, whether that's in your closets or in your head.

Mercury's right at home in Virgo where the mind wants to analyze the information, proofread the report, sort through the details, organize, categorize, prioritize, while seeing that everything is in its proper place and in good working order.

Maybe you're clearing out closets and cabinets, cleaning off your desk, clearing your inbox or other files, or reorganizing your schedule. Maybe you're perfecting plans and schemes or getting systems in order and operations functional.

Or maybe you're just trying to get your thoughts in order and get clear on some things as you start connecting dots, fitting pieces into a more coherent picture so you have a better innerstanding of what's going on.

Or so you thought...

Uranus in Gemini in a tense angle to Mercury and this Eclipse—throws a monkey wrench into the mix.

Just when you think you've figured something out, you're forced to reconsider what you thought you knew. Ooof.

There could be news, calls, data and information coming in faster than you can process it and it may be difficult to keep up as things are changing in real time. What you hear or learn may be surprising or contradictory in some way. There could be some new fact, unexpected development, or new piece of information suddenly changing things and offering a different perspective.

And the whole picture could change.

While the Virgo Sun and Mercury sit across the Sky from this Pisces lunar eclipse, adding another layer as you realize that everything you know doesn't only arrive through facts, figures and rational thought alone.

Pisces brings the magic, intuition, emotional intelligence, dreams, synchronicities and the subtle information you sense—even if you can't explain it.

Your mind may be working overtime while you try to make logical sense of what's happening, but another part of you already knows.

🧭 Course Corrections

Neptune in Aries rules this Pisces Lunar Eclipse, putting intuition, imagination and your spiritual vision in the driver's seat.

But Neptune isn't acting alone here.

The Virgo Sun forms a Yod with Neptune in Aries and Pluto in Aquarius—a configuration that calls for adjustments, course corrections and recalibration.

You may find yourself at a choice point or dealing with a dilemma with no obvious answer. The old way doesn't quite work anymore, but the new way may not be completely clear yet either.

This is where all that heightened awareness is key.

Pluto in Aquarius continues transforming systems, communities, networks and existing power structures, while Neptune in Aries asks you to pioneer a path that’s guided by vision, intuition and a growing sense of what feels true for you.

Meanwhile, the Virgo Sun wants to know what actually works in real life while your mind determines what needs to be tweaked, what could run more efficiently, what habit, routine, system or process needs an upgrade and where you may be leaking time, energy and resources.

Small adjustments can make a big difference.

You don't need to scrap everything and start over—it's more a matter of making a few seemingly small but important course corrections to take you where you want to be.

A little tweak here and there, a different approach, a slight change in your routine or a shift in your perspective may be all it takes. Eventually, those small adjustments accumulate momentum, moving you in a different direction—led by your intuition.

✨ Opening New Levels of Consciousness

The Sabian Symbol for the Virgo Sun is "A man becoming aware of nature spirits and normally unseen spiritual agencies."

According to Rudhyar, this is about "The opening of new levels of consciousness."

This adds another interesting layer to this eclipse story—and if that sounds familiar, that's because we encountered this exact Sabian Symbol during the Cancer New Moon when Venus occupied this exact degree. It takes us back to where we've been before.

And when the Universe repeats a message, I think it's best we pay attention.

This symbol speaks to becoming conscious of something that previously existed outside your scope of awareness—perceiving possibilities, energies or dimensions of reality that had always been there, but you didn't have full access to before.

Now, during this Pisces Lunar Eclipse, the Sun returns to this degree, echoing this message.

Something that entered your awareness then may be illuminated now. Perhaps you had a vague sense of something, an intuitive nudge or knowing and it’s becoming clearer, and there may be signals in your outer world that confirm this for you. Pay attention to who and what is showing up during this phase.

The Sabian Symbol for the Pisces Moon is: "A church bazaar."

This symbol is about "bringing sacredness and conscience to the marketplace."

And we sure could use some of that—am I right?

Just imagine if profit wasn't the only measure of value.

A church bazaar takes something associated with the Divine and offers it out into the community and marketplace through exchange, participation and contribution.

Opening to new levels of consciousness isn't just about becoming more aware—it's about the spiritual and sacred meeting the mundane and learning how to live it in real life.

As your consciousness changes and your intuition sharpens, the way you live, the things you value, what you consent to, choose to participate in and what you're willing to support changes along with it.

🔥 The Fire of Creation

On the heels of the Eclipse, Jupiter in Leo and Saturn in Aries form a fire trine on August 31st, opening a supportive window for constructive growth, purposeful development and structured expansion over the next week or so.

And as we're coming out of the accelerated shifts that eclipses bring, Jupiter and Saturn work on building from there.

Jupiter expands, sees possibilities and looks for opportunities while Saturn develops, constructs and creates the structures that can turn those possibilities into reality.

This isn't necessarily about just having more—it's about having the capacity to hold more.

Saturn brings purpose, parameters and responsibility to Jupiter's desire for expansion and freedom, helping you to build something that can actually support continued growth.

There's an element of earned expansion here too.

As you develop your skills, demonstrate competence, build confidence, take greater responsibility, be accountable, show up and prove to yourself what you're capable of—what you're made of—it sends a signal to the Universe that you can handle more.

More opportunity. More responsibility. More authority. More freedom.

Jupiter in Leo wants room to live, create, play, express yourself and lean into more of who you are, while Saturn in Aries is developing self-leadership, personal authority and the ability to direct your own path.  Structure and freedom are working together during this short span of time.

Granting an opportune moment in time to build the structures that give you the freedom to live the way you want to live.

✨ And you can make real progress now. ✨

And Mars in Cancer moves into the mix right at the onset of this Jupiter-Saturn influence, squaring Saturn and activating the configuration as September starts.

Mars acts and initiates. Mars gets something started.

Mars is in Cancer, so what gets going now could involve your home, family, property, land, security, private life or even the lifestyle you're creating for yourself.

There may also be some tension involved.

You could feel easily triggered, emotionally reactive or protective, with something stirring your gut feelings or familiar patterns, while Saturn in Aries pushes you to operate from personal authority, experience, responsibility and self-direction.

Issues around dependence and autonomy, family obligations and personal freedom, or caring for others while still having authority over your own life may require you to make a move or an adjustment.

But Mars also breaks ground.

Something gets seeded and set into motion that develops, grows and becomes established over the days that follow.

Adding another layer to this Eclipse story, Jupiter is sitting at the exact same degree as the Leo Full Moon back on February 1st—the lunation that opened the door to the last eclipse season.

The Sabian Symbol for this degree is, "Cherub-like, a human soul whispers, seeking to manifest."

At that lunation I wrote about something that had been gestating within you and wanting form and expression.

And six months later, this is a follow-up as Jupiter—the planet of growth, expansion and opportunity—has arrived at that very same degree.

Whatever was only beginning to stir, seeking expression or quietly gestating may have grown considerably since February. Perhaps you've been cultivating and developing it all along, or maybe an opportunity shows up now that gives more room to grow. Or maybe you now have greater clarity and understanding about what that earlier impulse was actually trying to become.

And Saturn adds another interesting piece to the story.

Saturn sits at a critical 13° Aries carrying the Sabian Symbol, "A serpent coiling near a man and a woman."

There's a lot packed into that imagery.

The serpent is an ancient symbol of transformation, regeneration, wisdom and life-force energy. A snake sheds its skin to continue growing, while the coiled serpent can also evoke kundalini—the awakening of dormant energy from within.

And of course, a serpent beside a man and woman immediately brings to mind the biblical creation story and the Tree of Knowledge.

The serpent introduces knowledge and with it comes a new level of awareness.

Once they know, they can't unknow.

What was previously outside their awareness becomes visible, and they can no longer experience reality in quite the same way.

Both Sabian Symbols carry themes of creation, consciousness and something seeking to come into being.

Jupiter expands the possibility while Saturn gives it structure and form.  And Mars provides the spark that gets something moving.

There's something especially fitting about this as we close out such an extended Pisces series. So much of Pisces exists in the invisible and imaginal realms—the dream, the vision, the intuition, the thing you sense but can't explain.

But we're moving into different territory now.

Something that's been quietly roaming in Pisces' realm is ready to be sparked to life.

Jupiter and Saturn are social shapers, so these themes of growth, creation and restructuring are playing out on a much larger scale.

This isn't only happening on the personal level.

Their cycles describe periods of collective growth and restructuring.

And with all of the outer planets helping a new paradigm start to take shape, what we create next can carry forward some of the compassion and spiritual awareness cultivated through all those years of Pisces.

Hopefully, we have learned that new systems don't have to be devoid of soul and progress doesn't have to come at the expense of conscience.
